Council’s Works and Services teams are energetic and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to our Community, Customers, Councillors and Council.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person who is interested in undertaking a 12 month traineeship in Business Administration.
The role will support the Works and Services teams to complete administration duties required in the business stream. You will develop skills in administration and customer service at the Services Depot based in Oak Flats.
This opportunity is open to both school leavers and mature age applicants who are eligible for admission to the Certificate III in Business Administration and who do not already hold a Certificate III qualification or higher.
The traineeship has an anticipated start date in July 2025 and covers both practical and theoretical requirements supported by Council and TAFE.
Council's Cadet, Apprentice and Trainee (CAT) Program aims to grow Council's skilled workforce capacity by creating job opportunities and a talent pipeline for specialised roles and to develop future leaders by providing employment opportunity and professional development experiences that support and complement a related course of external tertiary study. Council’s cadets, apprentices or trainees receive ongoing training, guidance and support from workplace mentors while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

- Temporary full time, 35 hours per week up to 12 months (or the duration of the traineeship)
