Maintenance Fitter (Greater Shepparton City)

About the Role We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our high-performing team on a full-time basis (Rotating Shift), based in Shepparton. Successful applicants will be trade qualified and have previous trade experience with a solid work ethic and demonstrated commitment to food and workplace safety. - Responding to mechanical breakdowns and carrying out repairs to keep production running smoothly
- Performing planned preventative and condition-based maintenance on high-speed food manufacturing equipment
- Fabricating and repairing parts using machining and welding where required
- Working safely with high-risk equipment and actively participating in safety and quality initiatives
- Managing parts, tools and maintenance documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance The Ingredients for Success
- Strong mechanical background with hands on experience
- Trade qualification in a mechanical field
- Experience in pneumatics, welding and machining is advantageous
- Previous experience with SAP or CMMS is highly regarded
- FMCG experience
- Experienced in analysing equipment condition & identifying maintenance requirements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to work a rotating roster- day, afternoon and night shifts to meet production requirements
- Sound knowledge of OHSE & Quality systems.
