About the Role: This is a full-time position offering an annual salary of $ 77,261 – $ 82,500 plus superannuation, based in Australia. The role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Beauty Therapist to work within a professional beauty salon environment. Responsibilities Beauty Treatment Services & Client Care
- Provide a range of professional beauty treatments including facials, skin treatments, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and other general beauty therapy services in accordance with industry standards.
- Assess client skin types and beauty needs to recommend suitable treatments and skincare products.
- Ensure treatments are delivered safely, professionally, and in line with client expectations to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Salon Operations & Service Delivery
- Coordinate daily beauty therapy services and appointment schedules to ensure efficient service delivery and smooth salon operations.
- Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and materials prior to each appointment to maintain operational readiness.
- Maintain skilled presentation of treatment rooms and salon facilities to ensure a welcoming and hygienic environment. Compliance, Hygiene & Safety (WHS)
- Ensure strict compliance with Australian Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and relevant beauty industry hygiene standards.
- Follow sanitation procedures for tools, equipment, and treatment areas to minimise health risks and maintain cleanliness.
- Monitor the safe use, storage, and handling of beauty products and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. Client Consultation & Product Advice
- Conduct consultations with clients to identify beauty concerns, skin conditions, and treatment preferences.
- Provide skilled advice on skincare routines, aftercare procedures, and suitable beauty products.
- Promote and recommend salon-approved products to support client results. Customer Service & Quality Assurance
- Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring professional, friendly, and attentive client interactions.
- Manage client bookings, enquiries, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure consistent quality of treatments and services in line with salon policies and industry best practices. Inventory & Product Management
- Monitor stock levels of beauty products, consumables, and treatment materials to ensure adequate supply.
- Assist with ordering and inventory control to maintain operational efficiency and minimise product shortages.
- Ensure proper storage of products and equipment to maintain quality and compliance with manufacturer guidelines. Salon Hygiene & Facility Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of treatment rooms, workstations, and common salon areas.
- Sterilise and disinfect tools and equipment following each treatment in accordance with hygiene regulations.
- Report equipment faults or maintenance issues to management to ensure continuous service availability. Professional Development & Industry Standards
- Stay updated with current beauty therapy techniques, skincare trends, and treatment technologies.
- Follow salon procedures and professional standards consistent with the Australian beauty and personal services industry.
- Support continuous improvement in service quality, client experience, and salon operations. Job Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Beauty Therapy (Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma, or higher) or a closely related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant full time experience as a Beauty Therapist or in a closely related role within a beauty salon or spa environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional beauty treatments including facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and general skincare services.
- Understanding of Australian Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and hygiene standards applicable to the beauty therapy industry.
- Strong client consultation skills with the ability to assess skin conditions and recommend suitable treatments.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene, safety, and service quality.
- Ability to manage multiple client appointments efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Professional presentation and a client-focused approach to service delivery.
