Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker (Shepparton)

Location: Shepparton Employment Type: Full-Time About Us: CME Steel-Con is a locally owned steel fabrication shop specializing in custom structural steel projects for commercial and industrial clients. Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel/Mild Steel Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of structural steel fabrication, the ability to read shop drawings and strong welding/fitting skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel components according to shop drawings
- Operate fabrication equipment (saws, drills, welders, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Perform layout, fitting, and tack welding of steel assemblies
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to complete projects on time Essential:
- Previous experience in structural steel/mild steel fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication shop drawings
- Proficient in MIG welding (GMAW)
