GV Transport Pty Ltd is the transport arm of a family owned horticulture business with over 1,500 acres of orchards within the Goulburn Valley region producing a range of apples, pears and stonefruits for supply to the national market and for export. Our company oversees the entire journey of our produce, from production, storage, packing, marketing, and transportation.

GV Transport Pty Ltd is seeking a full time qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic in Shepparton, Victoria 3630.

The salary offered is $75,000
- $80,000pa plus superannuation, negotiable.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

· Discussing problems with operators to determining faults.

· Diagnosis of faults in engines and parts of vehicles

· Repair and servicing of cooling systems, fuel systems, air conditioning, emission control systems, transmissions and clutch assembles of heavy vehicles in the fleet.

· Repair of ignition, electronic management and electrical systems.

· Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune and test diesel powered heavy vehicles

· Detect mechanical and electrical faults using industry standard instruments and equipment.

· Repair and maintain hydraulic components and systems of heavy equipment.

· Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools associated with their trade.

· Utilise maintenance manuals and procedures to perform repairs and maintenance to required standards.

· Record and report all repairs and maintenance activities on the established documentation.

The applicant will have the following skills and experience:

· Certificate III in Heavy Motor Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic Technology. At least two years of work experience on heavy vehicles Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues. Current driver’s licence.
