Trailer mechanic (Shepparton)

Trailer Mechanic / Diesel Technician – Heavy Transport SE National | Shepparton Region, VIC SE National is a growing transport and logistics group running linehaul and metro fleets across Victoria, NSW and QLD. We're after a reliable, hands-on trailer mechanic to keep our trailer and prime mover fleet on the road and roadworthy. This isn't a role for someone chasing a desk. If you know your way around heavy trailers, like solving problems with your hands, and want steady work with plenty of hours on offer, we want to hear from you. What you'll be doing:
- General servicing, repairs and maintenance on trailers and heavy vehicles
- Brakes, suspension, axles, electrical, lighting, ABS/EBS and air systems
- Diagnosing and fixing faults to get gear back on the road quickly
- Preventative maintenance and keeping equipment compliant and roadworthy
- Welding and fabrication repairs where needed What we're looking for:
- Solid hands-on experience working on trailers and/or heavy vehicles (formal trade qualifications not essential – experience is what counts)
- A practical, problem-solving approach and pride in your work
- Reliability and a strong work ethic – we need people who turn up and get it done
- Welding, fabrication and general mechanical skills will be highly regarded
- Own basic tools an advantage
- Current driver's licence (HR/MC an advantage but not required) The hours:
- Primarily 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Daily overtime available
- Saturday work
