About the Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced ARISE Therapeutic Specialist to join our Therapeutic and Allied Health team and play a key role in supporting young people and families impacted by family violence. This role is permanent part time, 60.80 (0.8 EFT) a fortnight. As the ARISE Therapeutic Specialist, you will deliver trauma‑informed therapeutic interventions to young people who use violence in the home, as well as their families and carers. Working within a collaborative care model, you will provide both individual and dyadic therapeutic support, with a strong focus on safety, healing, and strengthening relationships. You will also contribute clinical expertise to care teams, helping to coordinate a consistent and holistic response for each young person. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual counselling and dyadic therapeutic work with young people and their parents/carers
- Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and case formulations
- Develop and facilitate therapeutic group programs
- Collaborate with care teams and external stakeholders to coordinate effective support plans
- Provide secondary consultation and clinical guidance to professionals working with young people
- Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and reporting requirements
- Participate in reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing professional development About You You are a skilled and compassionate practitioner who is committed to trauma-informed, client-centred practice. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring strong clinical insight to complex situations. To be successful, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic support to children and young people
- Strong knowledge of trauma, attachment, and family violence frameworks
- Experience conducting psychosocial and risk assessmentsAbility to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills What We Offer
