Primary/Early Years Teacher – Kimberley, Western Australia Full‐time, longer term or minimum 1‐term contract. Start date: Term 3, ****. Accommodation, retention bonus, flights, relocation, courses available. We are looking for an engaging and adaptable Year 1/2 Teacher for a small, community‐led school in the Kimberley. The school is governed by local people and has 70 students from Kindergarten to Year 10, with class sizes of 6‐15. The role involves working with Aboriginal Educators in a team‐teaching approach, delivering culturally relevant lessons within the Western Australian curriculum. Students speak English as a second or third language, with Kriol, Nyikina and Walmajarri commonly spoken at home. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering curriculum‐aligned lessons for Years 1 and 2, incorporating Aboriginal culture and community values. Collaborating with Aboriginal Educators and the wider local community. Adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and languages. Maintaining communication with students, parents, and the community. Completing required administrative tasks. Qualifications and Experience Teaching registration in Western Australia and Working With Children clearance (or ability to obtain one). Strong interest in Aboriginal culture and issues. Comprehensive knowledge of the Western Australian curriculum. High standard of classroom competency and proficiency. Capacity to differentiate instruction for varied learning needs. Excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills. Capacity to build relationships and listen to the needs of students, the school and the community. Early childhood qualification (desirable). Advantages Salary between $88,178 and $127,737. $18,000 financial incentive after a full calendar year of employment.
