Careers & Pathways Adviser - Counsellor (Shepparton)

The Opportunity Notre Dame College is seeking a full‐time OngoingCareers & Pathways Adviser/Counsellor to commence Monday 13 July ****. Are you passionate about helping young people plan their future with confidence? This role offers an opportunity to support students with subject selection, post‐school options, tertiary applications, scholarships, accommodation, and employability skills such as resumes and job applications. Working collaboratively with the Careers Manager, Wellbeing, Learning Diversity and Heads of House, you'll provide personalised counselling to students with diverse needs and contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of Careers Centre programmes and services in line with CICA skilled standards. Position Details Title: Careers & Pathways Adviser/Counsellor Classification: ES 4 $86,659 to $98,708 depending on experience FTE / Hours per fortnight: 1.0 (Fulltime – 76 hours per fortnight) Employment Status: Ongoing – Category B (paid school holidays) Location: Notre Dame College Knight St or Emmaus Campus, Shepparton Start Date: 13 July **** You Will Provide individual careers counselling and pathway guidance to students, including support with subject selection, post‐school options and transition planning. Assist students with VTAC applications, early entry, change of preference, scholarships, accommodation, resumes and employment applications. Deliver targeted counselling and pathway support for students with diverse needs, including at‐risk students, students with disabilities and refugee students. Coordinate and administer Year 10 Work Experience, Structured Workplace Learning, School‐Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs), ensuring compliance with all legislative and College requirements. Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents, staff, employers, tertiary institutions, community agencies and business groups to enhance student opportunities. Contribute to the development and delivery of Careers Centre programmes, maintain accurate records and documentation, and engage in ongoing professional learning and careers networks.
