About the Role We're looking for a GIS Officer to join our growing GIS division. Working closely with our GIS Manager and directly with client teams, both in office and from CAF offices. You'll deliver reliable spatial services including data processing, system configuration, spatial analysis and end-user support across a variety of platforms. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where no two days look the same. What You’ll Do
- Maintain, quality-assure and transform client GIS data to produce meaningful deliverables
- Provide end-user support, training and guidance on GIS platforms and workflows
- Support the configuration and administration of client systems (on-premises and Cloud/SaaS)
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows using tools such as FME and Python
- Contribute to proposals, process improvements and mobile/field data capture solutions What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in a GIS role within Australia
- Robust skills across desktop GIS (QGIS, MapInfo, ArcGIS Pro) and enterprise platforms (IntraMaps, Spectrum Spatial Analyst, ArcGIS Online/Portal)
- SQL competency for spatial database querying and validation
- Tertiary qualification in GIS, Spatial Science, Computer Science, Geography or equivalent experience
