**About the Role**: We are looking for an experienced **Maintenance Officer** to assist in maintaining the building and grounds of this state-of-the-art building to a high standard, having regard for the comfort and wellbeing of residents and advising on replacement or repairs as required.

**Skills and Requirements for this Role**:

- Experience in building maintenance and gardening, landscaping
- Knowledge of Aged Care industry is desirable
- Thorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs i.e. OH&S; & Fire/Evacuation
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment
- Willingness to be contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time
- Excellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues
- Previous experience working autonomously with limited direction
- Be able to make decisions about costs and priorities and documenting a full plan for work to be completed
- Supervise and monitor grounds and systems
- Contribute to the support of aged care residents by providing quality service as required, and with respect to dignity and privacy.

**Essential**:

- Victorian drivers license
- Reliable, solid work ethic
- Valid police check, less than 12 months old

**Preferred**:

- Trade Qualification e.g. Landscaping or OHS Qualification is advantageous
