Class 5 Primary School Teacher (Singleton Shire Council)

Contract Type: Permanent/Ongoing Position Full Time Applications Close: 20 July 2026 We are seeking a dedicated Class Five Teacher to guide an established class through the remaining Primary School years to Class Seven at Lorien Novalis Steiner School. Lorien Novalis, located in Dural, offers a holistic Steiner curriculum with 50+ years of experience. Primary School Teacher – Class Five Commencement in Term 1, 2027 (Term 4, 2026 start date may be negotiated). Key Responsibilities
- Teach children from Class Five to Class Seven following the school’s curriculum.
- Implement and support the principles and philosophy of Steiner Education.
- Work closely with colleagues, specialist teachers and leaders to deliver a broad learning program.
- Guide students in creative and imaginative approaches to academic subjects.
- Develop or apply skills in arts such as painting, drawing, speech, eurythmy, music and drama to underpin lesson topics.
- Support handcrafts, both soft and hard, as part of the curriculum.
- Lead children in camping and outdoor activities as part of the outdoor education program.
- Participate in specialised cultural activities (festivals, fairs, open days). Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong commitment to Steiner Education principles, demonstrated through experience or willingness to engage in qualified learning.
- Teaching experience in a Steiner school or training in Steiner Education.
- Qualifications and approval to teach in NSW with NESA accreditation.
