**ADD VALUE
- THE ROLE**
Providing high-quality customer service to the community of Singleton through the delivery of quality Long Day Care Services, key responsibilities for the Childcare Educator
- Diploma include.
- Help plan, implement, and evaluate child-centric programs that are developmentally appropriate and culturally diverse, integrating the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Support children's learning by modeling play-based environments, participating in curriculum discussions, and suggesting changes.
- Implement the service's philosophy in teaching and behaviour guidance, adapting as needed.
- Ensure daily care routines are learning opportunities, employing intentional teaching strategies, and using evaluations for future planning.
Essential to this role is a Diploma in Children’s Services, or equivalent, or working towards achieving this qualification, a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid Certificate, including anaphylaxis and asthma training, previous experience in the care of children aged 0-5 and knowledge of curriculum and legislative frameworks.
This position is offered on a **term contract, full-time** basis working 38 hours per week, with an accrued rostered day off every 4 weeks. This role is a parental leave cover until the end of June 2025.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 8 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of **$68,133
- $76,641** per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
