Position Overview This is a great opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy swimming, love working with children, and want to teach the skills of swimming and the value of water safety. Responsibilities
- Teach effective Swimming and Water Safety to help grow our swim program.
- Work mornings, evenings and weekends, and be empathetic to the needs of the classes.
- Show a passion for swimming and make children safer around the water.
- Be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun, with a flair for working with children.
- Maintain outstanding communication skills and commitment to customer service excellence to ensure members, patrons and parents gain maximum benefit and enjoyment from the services provided.
- Communicate and interact effectively with students of diverse ages, abilities, cultures, and needs. Skills & Attributes
- Energetic, creative, and decisive teaching style.
- Understanding of OHS and public safety applications within the facility.
- Ability to work independently and as a valuable part of the team.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Valuable organisational and time‑management skills. Certifications & Checks
- Current First Aid (Level 2).
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Working with Children Check (or equivalent).
- National Police Check (dated 1st June onward).
- Current AUSTSWIM Certificate – Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety.
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (Essential).
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics Access and Inclusion (Desirable).
