Rail Protection Officer (Mount Thorley)

Description Daracon Group, typically known for its robust presence in Civil Construction, established a Rail Division some years to provide short-term contracts to service rail infrastructure needs throughout the Hunter Valley. Over time the Division has expanded, adding construction, rehabilitation and maintenance services to its capabilities. The Rail Team are based out of our Mt Thorley depot, equipped to respond to rail needs Australia-wide, with a focus on the ARTC network map and mine sites across the Hunter Region. Being part of the broader Daracon Group means the team has ready access to the vast resources of a modern plant and equipment fleet, as well as the Daracon Construction Materials Division, known for high-quality rail ballast and other gravel materials. We are seeking an experienced Rail Protection Officer to join our team based out of our Mt Thorley depot on a permanent basis. The position involves working across our various rail projects throughout the Hunter Valley. What's on offer

- RTS
- Delineation markers, etc Requirements
- Experience on major railway or maintenance contracts
- Rail Industry Worker Card and WHS White Card
- Glencore Generic Induction or willingness to obtain one
- Order 45 Coal Board medical or willingness to obtain one
- Protection Officer Level 2 in ARTC network
- 2 plus years' experience in the industry
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong safety awareness with an enthusiastic attitude promoting safety initiatives throughout the team
- PW52/53 Track Certifier
- Hand Signaller Qualifications
