About the role

An opportunity exists for a multi-skilled and highly efficient Distibution Operator to join our supportive and established team at our Smithfield Distribution Centre.

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for all activities facilitating the daily distribution of goods to and from site. Your focus will be on providing strong customer service to all stakeholders and participating in continuous improvement initiatives implemented on site, whilst maintaining safe work practices.- Administers and operates the organisation's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.- Operates a high reach forklift, adhering to all site safety rules and perform prestart checklists at the beginning of every shift.- Accounts for all materials and supplies in the store's facilities; audits goods received into warehouse.- Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and relate reporting in accordance with established procedures.- Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.- Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilisation, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment- Communicating all issues, concerns, updates and events to relevant stakeholders- Adhering to the Vinidex WHS and Quality standards- Working to achieve KPIs set

About you- LF and LO Forklift license and experience driving with high reach is essential- Basic computer skills including experience with Outlook, Word and Excel- Good knowledge of transport loading/unloading practices- Intermediate numeracy and literacy- High level skills in planning and organisation- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels- Demonstrates strong organization and time management skills- Good work ethic, with a flexible attitude and team player- Manual handling required as part of this role.
