Power Generation Field Service Technician Level Ii Fairfield

n this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Engage customers courteously and professionally. Use specialized tools and follow procedures to diagnose and complete repairs. Perform preventative maintenance on power generation products. Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors. Complete required documentation (service worksheets, timesheets, etc.). Maintain service vehicle and tools. Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Engagement: Provide courteous and skilled service to customers. Diagnostics & Repairs: Use specialized tools and procedures to diagnose and complete basic repairs. Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on power generation products. Issue Escalation: Refer unresolved issues to senior technicians or supervisors. Documentation: Accurately complete service records, timesheets, and warranty claims. Training & Development: Participate in required training programs. Vehicle & Tool Maintenance: Keep service vehicle and tools clean and operational. Health & Safety: Follow all safety policies and report incidents promptly.

Qualifications & Competencies: Core Skills: Effective communication, customer focus, problem-solving, adaptability, and commitment to self-development. Safety Leadership: Champion proactive health and safety behaviors. Technical Expertise: Diagnostics and troubleshooting using electronic tools and workflows. Understanding of engine and power generation systems. Repair and maintenance of mechanical/electrical products to standard. Accurate service documentation and escalation of complex issues. Education & Certifications Preferred: Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician. Vocational diploma in a relevant technical field. Current electrical certification and valid driver’s license.

Experience Basic field service experience. Intermediate knowledge of power generation products. High Voltage/Low Voltage experience. Robust customer service background.
