Prevention and Management of Aggression Trainer
- RPN4
- Part Time (32 Hours)
- 6 Months Fixed Term Agreement, with potential to extend

- Salary $112,470.80 to $121,113.20 pro rata (RPN4 Y1- Y3)

We deliver recovery-focused programs to consumers with serious mental illnesses across the Victorian justice system, mental health sector and the community
- from early intervention and prevention to inpatient care, rehabilitation, and community transition support. About the Role The Prevention and Management of Aggression trainer will be accredited to deliver Prevention & Management of Aggression training and ensure all training promotes a recovery focused approach and supports a reduction in the use of restrictive practices. The training provided is certified as complying with the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) training standards and sits within the broader Prevention and Management of Aggression Framework. Skills and experience
- Nursing: Approved qualification in nursing (Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent), social work or occupational therapy.
- Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency) where relevant. Social Work: must be eligible for membership with the AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers). Psychology: Masters or doctoral level qualifications in clinical psychology or doctoral level qualifications in forensic psychology.
- Ability and experience in providing training and/or education
- Demonstrated commitment to reducing restrictive practices in a contemporary mental healthcare setting
- Thorough understanding and demonstrated commitment to mental health consumer Recovery.
- Ability to develop working relationships with colleagues supporting collaboration.
