Chadwick Switchboards is seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to lead our sales and estimating team, while also managing and growing their own portfolio of existing and new customers. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving profitable sales growth, strengthening key customer relationships, improving sales and estimating discipline, and helping convert enquiries into high-quality, high-value tailored switchboard solutions. Chadwick has built a strong reputation over 80+ years as a trusted manufacturer of high-quality switchboards. About the Role As Sales Manager, you will lead Chadwick’s sales and estimating function and play a key role in the next stage of business growth. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be expected to lead from the front, personally manage key customer relationships, develop new business, support major opportunities, and coach the team to deliver stronger sales outcomes. You will work closely with electrical contractors, builders, consultants, estimators, project managers, engineering, production, and senior management to ensure Chadwick continues to win the right work, serve customers well, and deliver profitable outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales and estimating team.
- Create a high-performance sales culture built on accountability, urgency, customer focus, and commercial discipline.
- Manage and grow your own portfolio of existing and new customers.
- Strengthen relationships with key accounts, loyal customers, electrical contractors, builders, consultants, and project-based customers.
- Drive high-quality, high-value tailored solution sales.
- Identify, pursue, and convert profitable current business opportunities.
- Support key account management plans and customer growth strategies.
- Review major enquiries and quotations to ensure commercial accuracy, customer alignment, and margin discipline.
- Improve quote follow-up, pipeline management, CRM discipline, and conversion rates.
- Support estimators with priorities, customer expectations, and commercial decisions.
- Deliver agreed sales orders, invoiced revenue, gross margin, activity, and profitability targets.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers and strong customer outcomes.

- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, scopes, and customer requirements.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness around pricing, margins, risk, and customer prioritisation.
- Experience working with estimators, internal sales, project managers, or technical teams.
