Experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner (Wetherill Park)

Australian Disability Care Services (ADCS) is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider that delivers comprehensive disability support. A Behaviour Support Practitioner works with people who have disabilities and display behaviours that may put themselves or others at risk. The goal is to improve the person's quality of life by understanding the reasons behind behaviours and developing positive, evidence-based support strategies. Main Responsibilities Assessment Conduct behavioural assessments and functional behaviour assessments. Identify triggers, environmental factors, communication difficulties, and unmet needs that may contribute to challenging behaviours. Gather information from the participant, family members, carers, and support workers. Develop Behaviour Support Plans Create Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plans tailored to the individual's needs. Recommend proactive strategies to reduce behaviours of concern. Focus on improving communication, independence, and participation in daily activities. Training and Coaching Train disability support workers, teachers, carers, and family members on implementing support plans. Provide guidance on responding safely and effectively to challenging situations. Monitoring and Review Track progress and collect behavioural data. Review and update support plans regularly. Prepare reports for NDIS participants and providers. Work closely with: Occupational Therapists Psychologists Speech Pathologists Support workers Families and carers Schools and community organisations Pay: $7,083.00 – $9,167.00 per month Advantages:
