- Play a key role in ensuring the continuous high availability of real-time energy management systems, directly impacting the efficiency and resilience of Powerlink’s operations.

**The opportunity**:
- Ensure high availability and resilience of Powerlink’s EMS, including SCADA/RTU, Database, HMI/displays, and the High Voltage network model.
- Provide expert-level technical advice and solutions for diagnostics and rectification strategies in the EMS.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to clarify requirements, solve problems, and ensure that outcomes meet customer and business needs.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and best practices within EMS operations and coordinate projects and tasks effectively.
**The people you'll join**: Based in Virginia, you will work within the Operations and Service Delivery Division, reporting directly into the Energy Management Systems Team Leader.
**What you'll bring**: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Systems Engineering. Experience with modern distributed EMS/DMS/Control Systems and associated processes is highly desirable.
- Experience in providing 24/7 operational support for telecommunications networks.
- Knowledge of ITIL methodologies and managing SCADA/EMS services.
- Familiarity with relevant legislative requirements (Electricity Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act, etc.).
- Experience working within quality assurance policies and procedures, ensuring EMS availability and reliability.
