The City of Playford is one of the fastest growing communities in Australia, covering 345 square kilometres on the northern perimeter of metropolitan Adelaide. The Role:
Maxima, and the City of Playford, are looking for a motivated individual to undertake an Arboriculture Traineeship.
This 36-month fulltime traineeship will give you the chance to get your hands dirty and work outdoors. You will develop skills and knowledge in a variety of areas with hands-on experience, and paid study towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate III in Arboriculture.
Duties Include:
Trim and chip/mulch trees
Tree removal
Pest and weed control
Undertake appropriate climbing techniques
Use relevant machinery including chainsaws and woodchippers
About You:
Enjoy working in the outdoors and working with garden tools
Committed, reliable and hardworking
Manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
Work effectively in a team with positive communication skills
Have a can-do attitude and display initiative
Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision
Role Requirements:
Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
Previous experience in gardening or similar trades (advantageous)
