Casual Graphic Designer (Baxter)

Belinda Jane Video are a small business located in Baxter who assist families and funeral directors across Melbourne and Regional Victoria with a wide range of services. Filming and Livestreaming, AV set up and assistance for services, such as, Photographic Reflections, Designing of Order of Service Booklets, Bookmarks, Memorial Cards, as well as in house printing facilities. We are looking for a graphic designer, who can work 4 to 5 days a week, for around 5 hours a day between the hours of 7:30am until 4:30pm (whatever time works for you), looking for immediate or close to start. $30 an hour. As a Graphic Designer you will have valuable knowledge of Design software, communication skills and willingness to learn digital production equipment as well as finishing. This position also requires you to work with customers mostly over the phone, who are also grieving, so professional and compassion is required. You will also be required to answer phones and assist the office and getting all the work completed for the day.

- Passion, enthusiasm and drive!!!
- Graphic Design interest or qualification (Degree or Diploma)
- Basic Experience with Publisher, Adobe Suites, Illustrator, In-Design & Photoshop an advantage.
- Microsoft Office experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher.
- Communication, organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail in design and proofing is a must.
- Demonstrating a good work ethic and willingness to learn are key attributes for this role.
- Be empathetic and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Be able to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
- Good communication skills, as dealing with grieving families as well as church ministers, celebrants and funeral directors.

- Following the guidelines and procedures.
- Working with Production Printing and Finishing Equipment. (Training will be provided).
- Perform administrative tasks to ensure a smooth workflow.
