Section Supervisor (Japoonvale)

Position Title –Section Supervisor Employment type – Full time permanent Farm Location

- $75,000 to $90,000 + superannuation per annum Our client Japoonvale Golden Bananas Pty Ltd is a commercial banana farming business. The farm has all facilities including packing shed, machinery, irrigation systems, supported by an extensive range of modern farm machinery. We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated section supervisor to join on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team to execute daily agricultural operations within the farm setting. Their main responsibility is to bridge the gap between management goals and field execution, ensuring that tasks like planting, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting are completed efficiently and according to quality standards. As an experienced section supervisor, you will be responsible for below key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and coordinate daily tasks in assigned section.
- Train and assess workers to follow standard procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, OHS, and hygiene standards.
- Liaise with Agronomist and Farm Manager on crop activities.
- Oversee crop treatments as per standard procedures.
- Monitor weather conditions before irrigation and spraying.
- Maintain work quality and productivity in field and packhouse.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors.
- Liaise with maintenance team for equipment upkeep.
- Manage stock of fertilisers, chemicals, and inputs.
- Assist with fertiliser application and chemical spraying.
- Operate forklift for loading and unloading produce.
- Ensure dispatch and delivery documentation accuracy.
- Assist with weight checks and pre-operational inspections.
- Support cleaning and sanitation programs. Required Qualifications and Experience
· Minimum AQF Certificate IV or equivalent
