Masala Bite Innisfail Restaurantis seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chefspecializing in Indian cuisine to join our teamin Innisfail, Queensland.As a full time Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating and delivering delicious and authentic Indian dishes to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori dishes, and biryanis, according to traditional recipes and standards
- Responsible for the preparation of dishes as per the menu and recipes. Ensuring that the right portion of food is served to the customers as per restaurant standards.
- Ensuring that the meals are prepared as per the hygiene standards and served to the customers on time. Ensure staff always adhere to Occupational health and safety measures.
- Analysing and approximating the price for food and human resource.
- Menu designing and amending details in menu regarding prices, dishes whenever required as well as planning seasonal specials.
- Managing stock inventory and ordering raw materials of high quality. Ensuring that the food is stored in temperature-controlled facilities.
- Directing food preparation to meet any special dietary requirements of the customer.
- Providing instructions to kitchen staff regarding the proper way of handling cooking equipment and demonstrating different cooking styles.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and behaviour throughout the kitchen and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Monitoring the quality of raw and cooked food.

- Recruit, Train and mentor other kitchen staff and apprentices.
- Effectively deal and rectify with the issues for the smooth operations of the business.
- Costing menu items including costing of food and labour costs.
- Work to resolve kitchen issues, listen to feedback and seek solutions in conjunction with fellow staff. Requirements
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Diploma level is required.
- The candidate must have at least 2 years experience.
- To be energetic & motivated.
- Able to work under pressure. Salary Package:
$73,500
- $75,000 Plus Superannuation per annum. Apply
