Position: Marketing Specialist Employer: Mirror Mirror Rooftop Lounge Location: South Melbourne, VIC Employment Type: Full-time Salary: 100,000-115,000AUD per annum + Superannuation Closing Date for Applications: 25 June 2026 About Us Mirror Mirror is a unique rooftop venue located above the iconic Clarendon Hotel in South Melbourne. We specialize in craft cocktails, locally sourced dining, and memorable events – from corporate team building sessions to intimate private parties and large-scale cocktail functions. Our venue blends lush greenery, marble finishes, and a retractable roof with sweeping city views, creating a versatile space for both casual hospitality and high‑end events. Role Purpose We are seeking a creative and data‑informed Marketing Specialist to identify market opportunities, lead market research, and advise on the development and execution of pricing, promotion, and distribution strategies for our venue, food & beverage offerings, and event services. This role will directly support business growth and strengthen the Mirror Mirror brand. Key Responsibilities (tailored to Mirror Mirror’s hospitality and events operations)
- Market opportunity & strategy advisory
- Identify emerging opportunities in Melbourne’s rooftop bar, dining, and event sectors. Advice on the development, coordination, and implementation of pricing and promotional plans for venue hire, food & beverage packages, and corporate/social events.
- Market research commissioning & execution Commission and conduct market research (e.g., competitor venue analysis, customer preference surveys, event trend tracking) to uncover opportunities for new or existing offerings, including themed cocktail nights, corporate packages, and seasonal menus.
- Data analysis for demand & market characteristics Collect and analyses customer booking data, event attendance patterns, and demographic information to assess potential demand for new services (e.g., weekday corporate packages, large‑scale cocktail events). Evaluate market characteristics affecting venue utilization and event sales.Support business expansion by developing and executing marketing objectives, policies, and programs – such as loyalty initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and event‑driven promotions – aligned with Mirror Mirror’s revenue and brand goals.Advise on all elements of the marketing mix relevant to hospitality and events, including:Develop and implement brand strategies to ensure Mirror Mirror’s unique identity (“a well‑kept secret rooftop with fairytale‑inspired experiences”) remains consistent across all digital, print, and in‑venue touchpoints. Enhance brand visibility through storytelling, PR, and targeted local campaigns.Selection Criteria – Qualifications & Experience
- Business growth support through marketing programs

- Product mix (cocktail menus, food offerings, event packages)
- Pricing (table minimums, event venue hires fees, package pricing)
- Advertising & sales promotion (social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, early‑bird event discounts)
- Selling (upselling premium packages, corporate sales funnels)
- Distribution channels (direct booking platforms, third‑party event marketplaces, partnerships with corporate coordinators)
- Brand visibility & identity management
- Education: AQF Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a closely related field (equivalent to Australian standards).
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of, full-time employment as a Marketing Specialist or highly similar role (e.g., Marketing Consultant, Brand Manager, Product Manager).
- Industry background: Candidates with demonstrated marketing experience in service-driven industries are strongly encouraged to apply. This includes, but is not limited to, aviation, hospitality, events, tourism, lifestyle, and entertainment sectors. Practical experience in market research, data analysis, promotional strategy, and brand management within a B2B or B2C service environment is highly transferable and valued.
