**Position Summary**: **Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develop and oversee purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies specifically aligned with the import and wholesale supply of Indian grocery products across Australia.
- Forecast product demand and implement efficient inventory plans to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing storage and handling costs.
- Negotiate with both domestic and international suppliers to secure high-quality Indian grocery items at competitive prices and reliable delivery terms.
- Monitor storage conditions and distribution channels to ensure timely and hygienic delivery of goods to wholesale clients and retailers.
- Utilize inventory management software to record, track, and analyze stock movements, ensuring timely reordering of high-demand products.
- Coordinate with internal departments and wholesale clients to organize outbound logistics, including freight scheduling and transportation documentation.
- Oversee import documentation, customs clearance processes, and ensure compliance with Australian food and import regulations.
- Supervise warehouse operations, ensuring accurate recording of purchase, storage, and dispatch transactions.
- Lead a team of logistics and warehouse staff, setting performance targets, providing training, and monitoring daily operations for efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure stock turnover aligns with product shelf life and demand cycles, particularly for perishable or seasonal Indian grocery items.
- Maintain strong supplier and customer relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
**Key Requirements**:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of recent work experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution management.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to converse fluently in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel interstate and overseas as required.
- A proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Pay: $75,000.00
- $78,000.00 per year
