Purchasing Officer (Girraween)

**The Opportunity**

The Purchasing Officer plays a pivotal role in our manufacturing business so that we meet production schedules and customer commitments while meeting company procurement guidelines, processes, and standards. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, sourcing, and supplier management to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services required for production while optimising costs, quality, and supply chain efficiency. This is a varied role, you will also assist in planning, scheduling and stocktake.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery
- Implement cost-effective purchasing strategies to optimize expenditure
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes
- Manage supplier relationships
- Analyse data and metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Work in cross-functional teams on strategic sourcing projects
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information

**About You**
- Ideally, you will have exposure to purchasing and/or procurement
- At a minimum, prior customer service and administration experience
- Experience with ERP (SAP) and inventory management systems (highly desirable)
- Experience with MS Office programs with advanced Excel or aptitude for pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Ability to work unaccompanied and achieve daily tasks
