The Role As part of continued company growth and our marketing strategy, we are seeking a Social Media Manager that will work alongside our Senior Marketing Manager and will own performance, awareness and engagement across both organic and paid social media, specifically on Meta (Facebook & Instagram). As a company we want to substantially scale Facebook as a channel overall both in Organic and Paid in line with where our customers and families are for Home Care, Aged Care and Disability Care. We see lots of opportunity in this space and are investing both in media spend and people. This person will have ownership of the social media channel for the Aged Care Decisions and Care Decisions brand. The Social Media Manager – Organic & Paid is responsible for owning and scaling a high-impact social channel that helps Australian families navigate life-changing care decisions. This role will own responsibilities across Organic Social, Community & Engagement, Paid Social, Reporting & Insights, Creative & Messaging Collaboration and Marketing Operations. About Aged Care Decisions Our mission is to bring comfort to people by empowering them in their home care and aged care experience. That is why we go above and beyond in every aspect of the company to support families on their aged care placement journey. Aged Care Decisions (ACD) is Australia’s largest Aged Care & Home Care Placement Service. Servicing the whole of Australia, ACD assist families looking to place into Residential Aged Care & Home Care. Our unique custom-built technology coupled with our dedicated support team allows us to find the best matched providers based on care needs and preference. Whether the placement timeline is relaxed or urgent, our service can accommodate. Care Decisions (CD) offers a similar system navigation and provider matching service in the disability (NDIS) space. Aged Care Reviews (ACR) is Australia’s largest residential aged care consumer review website. It offers families information and resources to help them make informed decisions when investigating and shortlisting aged care providers. It acts as a valuable marketing channel for ACD. What you will be doing
- Owning day-to-day organic social publishing across key platforms, including content calendars, captions and scheduling that are aligned to brand, campaigns and priorities
- Owning end-to-end paid social execution across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), with exposure to other performance channels
- Managing and optimising campaigns for lead generation, traffic, awareness and engagement against CPL/CPA and ROAS targets
- Building, testing and scaling audiences, creatives, placements and bidding strategies
- Managing large paid social budgets ($50k+ per month) with strong QA and governance
- Monitoring and responding to comments, messages and engagement, managing brand reputation in real time
- Analysing organic and paid performance, delivering clear insights and recommendations
- Ensuring best-practice tracking and attribution (GA4, GTM, pixels, UTMs)
- Collaborating closely with content production, design and marketing to deliver high-performing social campaigns and posts that get cut-through and stand-out
- Writing captions, briefing creatives, scheduling content and optimising timing, formats and performance
- Encouraging two-way engagement and building trusted online communities
- Analyse audience behaviour, creative performance, funnel efficiency and social listening insights to drive continuous improvement and inform strategy.
- Manage social and ad account settings, permissions and governance Who are you?
- You have 2–4+ years’ hands-on experience running organic and paid social campaigns in an agency or in-house environment
- You have strong, practical experience with Business Manager and Meta Ads Manager, including bidding, audiences and optimisation
- You understand how to drive performance through creative testing, conversion optimisation and funnel thinking
- You’re a confident copywriter and visual storyteller who knows what works on social
- You’re comfortable producing or adapting quick-turnaround creative assets in collaboration with video and design team members
- You’re data-driven, confident with analytics, dashboards and performance tracking
- You stay on top of platform trends, algorithms and social culture relevant to your audience
- You’re experienced in community management, responding to comments and messages professionally and empathetically
- You thrive in a fast-paced, campaign-led environment and can manage multiple priorities
- You’re a self-starter with robust time management, a proactive mindset and a focus on hitting KPIs
- You communicate clearly and professionally, with excellent written and verbal English
- You’re reliable, ethical, adaptable and committed to ongoing learning and development
