- Full Time FTE: 1.0 Location: Hammond Park Closing Date: 2026-06-08 4:30 PM This is a permanent full time position commencing Term 3, 2026 Located in Hammond Park on Irvine Parade, the college opened in 2020 to Year 7 students and is now a full 7-12 college. The buildings include state of the art classrooms, a library, administration and extensive student services area. The college also features specialist facilities for performing and visual arts, science laboratories, food and textiles, design and technology workshops, and a gymnasium. The cafeteria is the hub of the central precinct and provides indoor and outdoor seating, landscaped gardens and open spaces. The college also has an approved Specialist Autism Program. The Role Hammond Park Secondary College is seeking a dynamic, relationship‑driven Student Engagement Support Officer to join our team. Guided by our core values of wellbeing, excellence, and relationships, this role is central to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student is supported to thrive. We are ideally looking for an energetic professional who is an active and collaborative team member, while also demonstrating the capacity to work independently. The successful applicant should be innovative in developing and implementing behaviour and engagement strategies for young people at risk, confident in utilising data to inform decision-making, and experienced in case management, including the development and monitoring of targeted support plans. Working closely with staff, students, and families, the role emphasises strong collaboration, including the use of mediation and restorative practices to build positive relationships and enhance student outcomes. Experience in supporting young people with complex behaviours utilising evidence informed strategies is integral to this role. Want to know more?
