Production Manager (Bibra Lake)

Position Overview: The Production Manager is a pivotal role within our mining operations, overseeing the entirety of production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This individual is responsible for crafting and executing strategic operational policies, managing daily production activities, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to achieve optimal performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Operational Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies and plans, focusing on enhancing productivity, quality, and efficiency across all manufacturing processes.
- Production Activity Management: Organize and oversee daily production operations, ensuring the alignment of output with quality standards, budgetary constraints, and time schedules. This includes resource allocation, labor management, and workflow optimization.
- Process and Quality Control: Maintain control over the manufacturing process and quality assurance protocols, including the development of maintenance schedules, operational hour setting, and the procurement of necessary materials and equipment to support uninterrupted production.
- Cost Management and Process Optimization: Regularly evaluate production outputs and operational costs, identifying and implementing cost-reduction and process improvement opportunities.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related communications with other management team members, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations.
- Equipment and Technology Management: Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of production machinery and technology, ensuring they meet current and future operational needs.
- Innovation and Research: Lead initiatives to research and implement new production methodologies, tools, and technologies to drive innovation and improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Manage the creation and maintenance of accurate production records and reports for internal analysis and compliance purposes.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure the production operations comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, coordinating with the Health and Safety team to implement comprehensive occupational health and safety programs.
- Team Leadership and Performance Management: Direct and support production staff, fostering a collaborative work environment, overseeing training and development, and conducting performance evaluations to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in a production management role within the mining sector.
- Strong understanding of production and mining processes and technology.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality standards, health and safety regulations, and cost management.
