Veterinary Receptionist Day Team – Permanent Part Time WAVES Veterinary Hospital – Success, WA Western Australian Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (WAVES) are seeking compassionate, organised, and customer-focused receptionists to join our day team. Exciting Team Update Our day reception team is now transitioning under the leadership of the Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) department. While managed within ECC, this role will continue supporting the entire hospital and all departments across WAVES, offering a collaborative and supportive team environment. About the Role This is a front-of-house role within a busy referral and emergency hospital, suited to someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a rapid-paced environment, and can provide calm, compassionate service during both routine and emotional situations. - Various shifts across Monday–Friday day time hours
- Shared Saturday roster (approximately 1 Saturday per month) for permanent staff
- Additional shifts available to cover leave and operational needs About You
- Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience is a requirement
- Veterinary industry experience highly advantageous, but not essential
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented
- Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure Key Responsibilities
- Managing client enquiries, appointments, and phone calls
- Providing exceptional customer service and client support
- Maintaining accurate patient records and processing payments
- Liaising with vets, nurses, specialists, and hospital teams
