Chef (Ashgrove)

Hospitality Casual Ashgrove Elderly Care is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in our Ashgrove Aged Care facility. This Casual role is responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our elderly residents in a caring and professional environment. What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of meals, including special dietary requirements, for our elderly residents
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation
- Ordering and managing kitchen supplies and stock
- Collaborating with the care team to understand resident dietary needs and preferences
- Mentoring and supervising kitchen staff
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
- Assisting Chef Manager in delivering quality meals to residents What we’re looking for
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Chef, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
- Qualification: Current Food Safety Certificate and Cert ll or lll in Cookery
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of nutritious meal preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the care team
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
