Psychologist (Subcontractor) – Paediatrics Neurodiverse Playhouse | Brisbane, QLD Some children don’t need fixing. They need spaces where they feel safe enough to be fully themselves. At Neurodiverse Playhouse, we are creating those spaces. We are looking for a warm, neuroaffirming Psychologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Brisbane. This is a unique chance to work within a child-led, play-based environment that values connection, nervous system safety, emotional regulation, and authentic relationships over compliance-based models of care. Our clients include neurodivergent children and adolescents navigating challenges such as anxiety, school refusal, emotional regulation difficulties, sensory differences, burnout, self-esteem challenges, social connection difficulties, and trauma experiences including bullying. We are seeking a psychologist who:

- Feels passionate about supporting children and families in meaningful, compassionate ways About the Role
- Flexible subcontractor role
- Work across our Brisbane locations including Spring Hill and Banyo
- Clinic-based paediatric caseload
- Opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and parents
- Strong referral pathways and growing demand
- Opportunities for group programs and collaborative care
- Full administration support provided Our Team You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, and Podiatrists who share a deeply child-centred and neuroaffirming philosophy. We value collaboration, curiosity, creativity, and genuine care. This is a clinic where:
- Children are not expected to mask to belong
- Therapy is relationship-first
- Regulation matters
- Play is respected as communication
- Clinicians are supported to work authentically Essential Requirements
- General or Clinical Psychologist registration with AHPRA
- Medicare provider number (or ability to obtain one)
- ABN and professional indemnity insurance
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Passion for neuroaffirming, family-centred care Desirable
- Experience supporting neurodivergent children
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
- Interest in school refusal, anxiety, emotional regulation, and burnout
