Part-time Dental Assistant (Spring Hill)

We are expanding our team and have a very exciting new role on offer for a Full-time Dental Assistant / Receptionist! Brisbane Smile Boutique is a privately owned, high-end dental practice located in Spring Hill. We are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a warm, supportive, and close-knit team environment. Our clinical team includes two experienced female dentists with a strong focus on cosmetic, orthodontic, implant, and general dentistry, supported by a highly skilled Oral Health Therapist. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Time Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team Monday
- Friday (with some flexibility on Saturdays). This role offers the perfect balance of clinical and administrative responsibilities, with approximately 3 days assisting chairside in surgery and 2 days supporting front desk and administrative operations. Key Responsibilities Clinical / Chairside Duties
- Provide efficient chairside assistance across a wide range of dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
- Perform accurate dental charting and clinical note recording.
- Assist dentists with treatment planning preparation and patient education.
- Coordinate lab work including crowns, aligners, implants, and orthodontic appliances.
- Operate digital imaging and scanning equipment as part of modern digital workflows.
- Maintain high standards of infection control, sterilisation, and clinical protocols. Reception / Administration Duties
- Welcome patients and create a professional, positive front desk experience.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and patient enquiries.
- Process payments and health fund claims.
- Assist with administrative tasks including recalls, correspondence, and treatment coordination.
- Support smooth day-to-day practice operations and communication between clinical and reception teams. Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience within a dental practice.
- Strong chairside assisting skills and confidence across various dental procedures.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with dental software systems such as D4W (Dental4Web) is highly regarded.
- Comfortable working across both clinical and reception environments.
- Qualified presentation with outstanding communication skills.
