Offering sensational, mouth-watering Chicken, Lamb, Pork, Beef & Seafood 7 days a week. Job Description: Navala is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our agile team! This role involves creating and executing high-quality dishes, managing food preparation, and overseeing the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily food preparation, ensuring every dish meets quality standards for flavor, texture, and presentation.
· Coordinate kitchen activities to ensure timely and smooth service during high-volume periods.
· Implement and uphold all health, safety, and cleanliness protocols, meeting regulatory requirements and restaurant standards.
· Manage ingredient inventory to reduce waste and ensure freshness, ordering supplies as needed to support menu demand.
· Lead, train, and inspire kitchen staff in preparing grilled and burger dishes, enhancing their skills and fostering teamwork.
· Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to encourage growth, efficiency, and quality service.
· Engage with customers when necessary to gather feedback, adjust recipes or presentation as needed to improve customer satisfaction.
· Work closely with front-of-house staff to deliver a cohesive dining experience, from kitchen to table. Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts / Commercial Cookery preferred.
- Proven experience as a chef or sous chef
- Strong knowledge of fresh ingredients, food safety standards, and culinary techniques.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, promoting collaboration and efficiency in the kitchen.
- High attention to detail in plating, flavor, and quality, ensuring that each dish meets the restaurant’s standards.
- Ability to monitor and maintain consistency in dish preparation and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy service hours, while ensuring food quality and timely service.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple orders and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in Latin American BBQ cuisine preferred.
- Charcoal Grill experience.
