- Private use Leaseback Vehicle About the role As an Investigation Engineer, you’ll help investigate and resolve complex road and drainage matters, shape practical infrastructure solutions, and work with stakeholders to deliver outcomes that are safe, cost effective, meet Council’s requirements and are customer focused. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community. Key activities of this role include:
- Investigation and resolution of complex road, drainage and related infrastructure issues raised by the community and internal stakeholders
- Preparation of technical reports, designs, scopes, estimates and approvals for engineering solutions and minor works
- Undertake site inspections, research and consultation to identify practical, compliant and customer-focused outcomes
- Manage consultants, contractors and project delivery to meet scope, budget and timeframe expectations
- Provide expert advice on roads, drainage, easements, encroachments and related compliance matters To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in undertaking road and drainage engineering investigations combined with ongoing professional development
- Class C Drivers Licence

- The commencing salary for this position is up to $100.5K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $116.5K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation + Civil Liability Allowance
- We have a permanent full-time role available
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role
- 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Erina Depot
- A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies. Extra benefits
