Yard & Maintenance Supervisor (Springvale)

**Statewide Infrastructure Serviced**is looking for a proactive and organised **Yard and Maintenance Supervisor**to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our yard in Mulgrave & Hastings.

We are a civil infrastructure specialist with over 25 years’ experience in the industry based in the south east of Melbourne, looking for the right person to help streamline our operation.

**What We’re Looking For**

An enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a quick-paced environment and is skilled at making quick, effective decisions with strong leadership responsibilities, organisation and time management skills to manage a fleet of plant and equipment together with a small yard and ensure it operates productively and effectively to assist our civil construction operation,

**Key Responsibilities of the role are**: **Yard Operations**:

- Coordinate plant and equipment movements, optimize storage, and manage loading/unloading to ensure efficient use of space.
- Available to start work at 6am with flexible hours available
- Manage spoil and excess loads with the use of our trucks and excavators to move the loads as required for correct disposal.

**Scheduling & Logistics**:

- Oversee yard operations and the maintenance scheduling of all our owned plant and equipment.
- Oversee delivery & collection of trucks and equipment to relevant repairers to keep the operation running productively.
- Plan and execute the maintenance of the external areas of both sites being in Mulgrave and Hastings Victoria, including site hygiene, weed and pest control, maintenance of roadways, infrastructure and services

**Inventory Management**:

- Keep track of products coming in and out of the site, maintaining accurate records.
- Monitor and manage yard operations to reduce waste, ensure cost effective solutions.
- Stock control including dealing with suppliers and receiving stock deliveries to ensure the racks are kept stocked & maintained.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the project co coordinators and stock controller, to ensure smooth operations.
- Have the trucks ready for work each morning and ensuring they are loaded ready for civil crews
- A proactive mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently

**Documentation**:

- Assist with auditing plant and equipment, maintain stock delivery dockets and verifying efficient cost effective solutions.
- Relevant qualifications including HR truck licence excavator ticket and forklift licence.
- Experience machine operator up to 8 tonne

**Safety & Compliance**:

- Report irregularities, uphold housekeeping standards, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with a range of machinery including excavators, bobcat, forklifts, tractors and experience with civil works an advantage
- Ensure the yard operates in full compliance with all relevant legal regulations.
