About the role:

Our Dingley workshop is currently looking for an experienced Stainless Steel Fabricator or Tig Welder to join the team.

You'll be responsible for

Examining architectural or technical detail stair drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.

Performing general fabrication using stainless steel, steel, steel tubing including:

Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock

Setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten metal

Operating welding equipment to join metal

Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints to burred surfaces using hand tools and portable tools

Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, welding, chiselling and grinding

Potential for onsite installation of our specialised steel componentry

Monitoring machines and tools and perform maintenance if required

Ensuring S&A; quality, health and safety processes are followed at all times

What we're looking for:

Stair (handrail or balustrade) experience (essential)

Qualification in engineering/fabrication

Experience in the steel industry

Construction Induction card

Australian drivers licence
