Assistant Accountant (Springvale)

The Opportunity We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in our Springvale, VIC office. This full-time role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and cash flow statements
- Perform general accounting duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and document management
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries and discrepancies
- Support the implementation of new accounting systems and processes What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
