Senior Engineer - Formwork (Springvale)

Our 50-robust National Engineering Team is led by a dedicated and experienced management team who are passionate about team development, delivering best-in-class solutions, and continuous improvement. We have a new opportunity in this team to take on the responsibility for engineering delivery across complex Formwork projects for our VIC market. This role will be based in Melbourne (Springvale). The fundamental need to haves: ● Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering ● Minimum 8 years of proven engineering experience with a significant portion working specifically in formwork design ● Eligibility for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia ● Chartered status (CPEng) highly regarded ● Ability to coach & mentor junior engineers & draftspeople ● Leadership skills ● Proficiency in AutoCAD ● Experience using Autodesk REVIT desirable ● Able to perform detailed structural computations applied to the design of formwork and temporary works systems ● Proficiency using engineering design software packages (SpaceGass, Microstran or similar is essential) ● Effective communicator, problem-solver and solutions-generator ● High attention to detail ● Proactive team player ● Interested in career growth and development Our perfect candidate will be able to show that they are: ● Someone who takes ownership and is willing to do what it takes to meet our customer’s needs ● Someone who is naturally adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment ● A proactive mentor committed to guiding and developing the skills of junior engineers and drafters ● Highly detail-oriented with an uncompromising focus on safety and compliance with Australian Standards ● An innovative problem-solver capable of designing practical, cost-effective solutions for complex temporary works challenges Submit your CV and a cover letter
