- establishing a safe environment for children with a disability Position objectives This position assists in provision of building and asset maintenance services to the Northern Grampians Shire Council.
- Undertake works including carpentry, incidental works such as concreting, painting, tiling, steel fabrication and minor building maintenance. Key responsibility areas
- Assist in undertaking minor maintenance tasks in and around Council facilities such as minor painting, mending and general handyman duties as needed.
- Assist in carrying out works directly associated with the fabrication and the maintenance of the built environment.
- Ensure Council’s Service Standards are met, customers requests are handled efficiently in a knowledgeable, confidential and timely manner ensuring delivery is responsive, first point issue resolution and customer centric.
- Model Council values and be an integral member of the facility maintenance team including participating in team projects, process mapping and review, and proactively responding to customer requests
- Perform, as directed, other duties that are within the limits of the incumbents’ skill, competence and training. Qualifications and experience
- Trade qualification in the field would be highly regarded (builder, plumber, electrician)
- Experience in building and construction works
- White Card (Constuction) Selection criteria 1. Trade qualification in the field would be highly regarded (builder, plumber, electrician) 2. Experience in building and construction works 3. Communication and interpersonal skills 4. Good time management skills How to apply
