- Part-time Veterinary Associate – Greencross Strathalbyn Part Time | 20 hours approx per week | Mixed Practice with City Convenience Greencross Strathalbyn is seeking an experienced veterinarian who loves the variety and satisfaction of mixed practice, but still wants easy access to city amenities, culture and connection. This role offers the perfect balance: rural charm, interesting mixed caseloads, and a supportive team — all just 50 minutes from Adelaide. Why Strathalbyn Is Ideal for Mixed Practice Vets If you enjoy a clinical day that might include a canine dental, a feline medical workup, and a farm call or large‑animal case, you’ll genuinely thrive here. Strathalbyn sits at the heart of a thriving regional community, surrounded by farmland, vineyards, hobby farms, equine properties and family pets. It’s the best of both worlds
- diverse caseloads and hands‑on medicine, with the added convenience of being less than an hour from a capital city. This is a town that blends country warmth with surprising sophistication: boutique cafés, heritage streets, scenic parks, renowned wineries, and quick access to forests, beaches and the Adelaide Hills. Life feels slower here, in all the right ways. Our Clinic Our modern clinic is purpose‑designed for both small and large animal work. You’ll have access to the equipment you need to deliver high‑quality care, including:
- Digital radiography
- In‑house pathology and microscopy The facility includes three consult rooms, a dedicated surgical theatre, treatment room, imaging suite, large waiting area, and separate dog and cat wards giving you the space and environment to work efficiently and comfortably. About the Role We’re looking for a confident and capable veterinarian with experience in both consultations and surgery, and an interest in mixed practice. You’ll manage a diverse and engaging caseload across small animals, production animals and hobby‑farm species, supported by a team of skilled and committed nurses. We value a collaborative, positive team environment, and we’re seeking someone who brings compassion, clear communication and a willingness to contribute to the clinic’s warm culture. Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week across Monday to Thursday, with some flexibility for the right candidate. What We Offer
- Flexible working arrangements to support balance and lifestyle
- Unlimited internal CE, including structured development pathways
- The option to convert one week of study leave to annual leave
- Access to VIN, Plumbs and the Greencross Clinical Conference
- Paid AVA or Vet Board registration
- Heidi Health AI for faster, easier clinical notes
- Staff discounts across Greencross clinics, specialty hospitals and Petbarn
- Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship for international candidates Ready to enjoy the best of mixed practice with city convenience? We’d love to discuss how this role could be the perfect fit. Ros Davies
