- A current and valid BlueCard
- First Aid & CPR certificate (including training in asthma and anaphylaxis)
Essential Skills and Attributes- In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to ensure quality practices and outcomes for children.
- Capability to guide, mentor and provide direction to other educators in the learning environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, families, colleagues and management.
- Experience in designing, implementing and assessing educational programs that cater to the individual needs of children.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to promote a cooperative environment.
- Ability to work in partnership with other educators, support staff and external professionals to enhance children's learning and wellbeing.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge- Previous experience in a Lead Educator, Room Leader or similar role in an early childhood setting.
- Ability to create an environment where all children, including those with additional needs can thrive and learn.
