City of Moreton Bay is on a journey to **maximise resource recovery opportunities**, including the introduction of an organics kerbside collection service currently underway. This is just one of the programs we are delivering **across our portfolio of 12 waste facilities**, and our established kerbside collection services to almost 500,000 residents.

Which makes right now the perfect time for an **experienced behaviour change influencer, with a passion for the environment** and making a difference in waste minimisation to join our team!

As part of our **Corporate Communications team, you will partner closely with our Waste Services** department to manage and develop the preparation, delivery and promotion of a range of evidence-based behaviour change strategies, projects, plans and activities.

Your remit will align with our Waste Services priorities and objectives and **foster recycling, waste avoidance, minimisation and re-use behaviours.** We'll also look to you to:

- **Manage event and activity delivery**: guide team members and contractors to deliver effective, engaging and safe outreach events and activities to a diverse range of audiences and community groups using a range of engagement methods, including direct education methods such as events, workshops, presentations, letters, door-to-door and information forums and effective media channels.
- **Research, consult and identify emerging considerations**: identify the specific issues, needs and interests of target audiences through timely and relevant consultation mechanisms, harnessing global best practice and technological solutions to inform and support behaviour change projects and activities.
- **Stakeholder collaboration**: build productive working relationships to coordinate and deliver behaviour change activities, projects and outreach events in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders ensuring activities and communications meet stakeholder expectations.
- **Measure the success**: review effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery of education and behaviour change programs
- for example our Garden Organics "GO" and Food Organics "FO" services, and the reduction of cross-contamination and maximization of capture rates to achieve targets and roll-out of new resource recovery programs.

**About you**

To be a success in this role you will bring **experience in leading the design, implementation and evaluation of effective behaviour change** strategies, projects and campaigns
- ideally with a sustainable waste management, resource recovery educational program focus

You will be an exceptional communicator, with the proven ability to **influence outcomes and effectively deliver messages** to a diverse stakeholder group and audience.
