Accountant (Marion)

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the overall financial operations of the business. Through your attention to detail and continuous improvement, this position will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the company's financial operational objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial data.
- Preparing taxation returns for the company.
- Analysing, monitoring and maintaining records of day-to-day operating costs, company’s income and expenditure in a timely manner.
- Providing accurate and timely financial and taxation advice to support the management team’s strategic and operational decision-making.
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and their compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining our accounting system
- Implementing and maintaining effective financial controls, policies and procedures. About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher qualification.
- Proven experience in established accounting role(s).
- Solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory submissions.
- Experience with Xero accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Good financial and management reporting skills.
