**Position Description Neighbourhood Centres Marketing and** **Promotions Officer**
**Purpose**
The Neighbourhood/Community Centres offer a place that create an opportunity for our community to meet, socialise and connect. They are inclusive hubs of activity in the City of Marion providing programs and services for all ages and levels of ability.
The Neighbourhood Centres Marketing and Promotions Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing effective marketing strategies that raise awareness and engagement with the services, programs, and events offered by the Community Centres.
This role aims to foster positive relationships within the local community, increase participation, and promote the Centres as vibrant, accessible hubs for social, educational, and recreational opportunities. Through targeted campaigns, digital communications, and community outreach efforts, the Marketing and Promotions Officer will contribute to enhancing the Centre's visibility, building community connections, and supporting our mission to improve the well-being and quality of life for all residents.
**Key Deliverables**
- Create high quality, vibrant and modern social media content appropriate for a
diverse community across a range of platforms.
- Ensure quality promotional and communication standards are met with adherence to
branding guidelines in all marketing and correspondence
- Successfully manage booking platforms and ticketing for programs and events across
the four City of Marion Community Centres.
- Assist with planning, organising, and supporting a variety of events and activities at
the four community centers
- Skills in photography and video production to capture content for campaigns and
manage media assets
- Provide general customer service as part across the four centres which includes
working at the reception desk, answering telephones, assisting with customers accessing Centre services, taking bookings and handling cash from time to time as required.
- Accurately record, prepare and disseminate data, client correspondence, quotes,
invoices, marketing material etc.
- Assist in the development of resources for online databases and digital services
suitable for a broad range of abilities, ages and needs.
- Willingness to participate and work across all Centre sites in corporate and
Community Centre activities whilst promoting a positive image of the council.
