About the Company
DFP Recruitment are proudly partnering with a leading construction and structural services company delivering residential and commercial projects across South Australia. The business also includes a specialised transport division providing heavy lifting equipment hire services.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to lead safety initiatives across both construction and transport operations. This is a hands‑on role where you will drive a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance, and support continuous improvement across all projects. This position could be part‑time negotiable for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and embed a robust safety culture across all sites
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards
Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Review and approve SWMS
Lead incident and near‑miss investigations (ICAM preferred)
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training
Support environmental compliance and risk management
Engage with clients, subcontractors, and regulators
Skills & Experience
5+ years’ HSE experience in construction and/or transport/logistics
Solid knowledge of structural and high‑risk construction activities
Solid understanding of South Australian WHS legislation
Proven ability to influence and engage site teams
Robust communication and problem‑solving skills
Qualifications
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
Diploma/Degree in WHS or related field (preferred)
White Card (mandatory)
ICAM training (desirable)
Current Driver’s Licence
