Swimming Instructor For Disabilities Subiaco

Telethon Superfins Learn to Swim is a small, not for profit swim school providing 1:1 water safety and learn to swim lessons to children and young adults with physical, intellectual and learning disabilities. Our lessons run on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30 to 6:30pm and Fridays 3:30 to 6:30pm during WA school term time. We teach from an indoor 25m pool in Subiaco, the pool is 1.1m deep and 30 degrees Celcius.

We are seeking a new swim teacher to join our team on Thursdays during WA school term time 2:30 to 6:30pm with the possibility of extra relief cover hours. This role will be ongoing through terms 2, 3 and 4 of 2026.

Your role will require you to provide 30 minute individualised swimming and water safety lessons 1:1 to children and young adults with physical, intellectual and/or learning disabilities.

Minium qualification requirements:

current Australian swim teaching qualification

current CPR certificate

current Working With Children Check

min. 12 months prior swim teaching experience, (not necessarily with disabilities but valuable)

starting term 2, 2025

minimum shift 2hr, maximum shift 4.5hrs

current pay rate $46.90/hr

12% superannuation
