Located in our Green Road Subiaco Office, we are seeking an enthusiastic Finance Officer to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position, either 3 or 4 days per week. The Finance Officer role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of financial and administrative operations across the business. This fast-paced, dynamic and diverse role is responsible for supporting financial processes including Australian payroll, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, reporting and maintaining accurate financial records. With our global operations across Australia, New Zealand and Canada the Finance Officer will provide finance processing assistance for business entitles across these regions. The role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality and support the effective delivery of finance operations. A key element of the role is providing comprehensive financial administration support across the business, including payroll processing for Australian employees, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records to support daily operations. Working closely with the Finance Manager and Managing Directors, the position will assist with financial reporting, accounts administration, operational finance tasks, and month-end processes while ensuring deadlines are met efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will also oversee day-to-day financial activities across our global business hubs, driving compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement within financial processes and systems. ABOUT THE ROLE
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across all Green Road entities, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Process day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger entries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure financial accuracy.
- Monitor, reconcile, and maintain company credit card transactions and supporting documentation.
- Prepare, review, and issue client invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Process supplier and vendor payments in accordance with approved procedures while maintaining accurate transaction records.
- Process the Australian payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company requirements.
- Maintain employee payroll records and respond to payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and analysis to assist business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation requirements, and internal financial controls.
- Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and provide support during internal and external audit processes.
- Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring appropriate approvals, coding, and supporting documentation are maintained.
- Review expense reporting and identify opportunities for improved cost control and operational efficiencies.
- Utilise financial systems and software, including Xero and Hubdoc, to effectively manage and maintain financial data.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across all Green Road entities to obtain and verify financial information as required.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and auditors.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across finance and administrative processes and support special projects and business initiatives as required. ABOUT YOU, WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts, or Finance Administration role, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Preferable working experience within a consultancy firm or project management firm is highly desirable but not a requirement
- Ability to work in a fast paced and agile environment with exemplary organisational and time management skills
- Strong financial administration and document management skills with the ability to maintain accurate records to a high standard.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively within dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Must possess a valid work visa to legally work in Australia.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel formulas is essential for financial data analysis and reporting.
